This is part of Win16 API which allow to create versions of program from one source code to run under OS/2 and Win16. Under OS/2 program can be running under Win-OS/2 if program is Windows NE executable, and with help on Windows Libraries for OS/2, if it is OS/2 NE executable. Here is a WLO to OS/2 API mapping draft
RegOpenKey
Brief
Opens a Registration Database key. The szSubKey parameter points to the string that specifies the name of the key to open. The lpResult parameter is the address of the handle of the key opened. The hkey parameter is the handle of the parent key which may be HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT and cannot be NULL.
Syntax
LONG RegOpenKey(HKEY hkey, LPCSTR szSubKey, HKEY *lpResult);
Parameters
Return Code
Returns ERROR_SUCCESS, if it is successful. Otherwise, it returns an error value.
