Input
- AH = 01h
- DL = drive (bit 7 set for hard disk)
Return
- CF clear if successful (returned status 00h)
- CF set on error
- AH = status of previous operation (see status)

- some BIOSes return the status in AL; the PS/2 Model 30/286 returns the status in both AH and AL
