It is necessary to try to predict their possible future: like BeOS or like Linux, like StarOffice
or like VirtualPC? This question is related to the money & barter questions and they are related
to the territory, currency, transport etc. Most OS/2 users lives in "EURO zone" or in the East
Europe so it is possible to integrate OS/2 and various *nix clones, or to use another kernels to
make the "next OS/2". The situation in USA is different - "corporations only": Nike, Adidas,
Microsoft, McDonalds and so on. Like VirtualPC, they'll eat ReactOS in the next 5 years

It's hard to eat open-source product. ReactOS is open-source.

What a project! OS/2Free should be a 64bit AMD backward compatable software.
Hope you could make it 64bit/32/16/8 as IBM may never release a 64 bit OS/2.
Forget the PowerPPC, it is old hardware. Kernel is not so important as the apps
that will run on it.

In reply to Sergey Posokhov - 2.3.2004 I would like to point out that several ReactOS
developers live in euro land, one in Italy, some in Germany. If contact is required then
why not take a look at reactos.com .

2Peter Locke - 2.7.2004 Sorry, how you'll run apps without kernel? Kernel IS important.

Do you plan to make some fund for special donations to your project? From your site it is
not very clear, how to make donations. PS: You could organize something like "non-commercial
partnership" or charity fund or something like that. I think, that monetary side of every project
is very important too.
