I am hoping that is true and that others will see it as a
challenge and give it more than just a passing thought.

It woulc or could the OSFree project if news (even
if it is to say it is still going) to
http://www.osfree.org , http://www.os2world.com
and http://www.netlabs.org (the last could have a
mirror of the OSFree site which could draw more
programmers).

IT industry mourns Canadian software pioneer
Ken Iverson, who recently passed away at age 83, was responsible
for APL. Fellow creator Mers Kutt and other colleagues remember the
contribution that led to personal computing.

I have sent (on again off again) 'e-mail'
(using the feedback part of the sites
download section) requesting/suggesting
IBM open source OS/2 Warp (if not ver 4
then ver 3). I gave them reasons to do so
(to allow those who want to create a clone
of OS/2 to do so, it would be a step closer
to IBM not having to support OS/2 in the future,
it would show that IBM does indeed support
open source software/operating systems, it would
give SS a chance to create a newer eCS kernel,
etc). I will probably continue to do so (sending
feedback) for quite awhile. :)

The greater the number of people asking to have
OS/2 Warp open source, the greater the chance
that it will be open sourced.

They employ extremely intelligent robots to process users' feedback. One
who mentions something about "OS/2" should be assured that it takes zero
people in IBM to read, process and archive such messages...

I surmise that IBM's robots, of whatever level of intelligence, are busy
with more important tasks, whereas all e-mail about "OS/2" receive a
quick and merciless end in a dimly lit back office by "OutLook" running
on a sufficient number of computers to ensure continuous operation, :-).

Even if I fail to get OS/2 open sourced, I will know that
