Someone put up a web site? New mailing list?
Or cloned one of the basic apps included in Merlin?

I was also wondering in what language was the Workplace Shell itself
    made in?

C originally. Later some provisions for C++ were added. Even though it
supposedly was to be CORBA compliant so many languages could be made, that
all died when IBM stopped development. Your options are C/C++ and my recent
experiences show that the tools are no longer well maintained and take some
fiddling to get to work. (get the latest toolkit and get the Open Watcom
compiler) Pity, since the WPS is one huge draw for me and many others.

"I was also wondering in what language was the Workplace

Probably in C, C++, and assembly.

The only website that I know of is
http://www.osfree.org
and the latest news there is 12-2003.
You might want to check out
http://www.netlabs.org for
any apps or programs that you might be thinking of.

I came across this link at OS/2 World.
Since it is open source and bootabla,
could it be used with OSFree/FreeOS?
